Shytoshi Kusama, the leader of the Shiba Inu ecosystem, suggests that the team could adopt an innovative approach to the launch of the highly anticipated token, TREAT.
Kusama shared this perspective yesterday on X as the token edges closer to its launch. As reported earlier, TREAT, which will serve as the official reward token of the Shiba Inu ecosystem, will debut on January 14.
In anticipation of TREAT’s debut, Kusama took to X to suggest that the ecosystem team would launch the token using an innovative approach.
“The TREAT launch will be unlike any other launch we’ve done,” Kusama remarked. This suggests the team will adopt a unique strategy to roll out TREAT compared to previous ecosystem token launches.
Kusama Features in AMA to Discuss TREAT
Kusama shared more details about TREAT’s upcoming launch in an AMA session with popular crypto YouTuber Random Artz.

The AMA, held privately yesterday, featured other KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders) within the Shiba Inu ecosystem, including Kaal Dhairya. After the AMA, Random Artz summarized some interesting points Kusama and Kaal shared about TREAT’s launch.
Details About TREAT Launch
According to the YouTuber, the ecosystem team will airdrop TREAT to some community members who have previously initiated specific tasks.
Random Artz did not mention the eligibility criteria. However, he suggested that eligible beneficiaries be directed to a platform where they can claim TREAT at zero cost. This approach could help onboard more users into the Shiba Inu ecosystem.
In addition, the YouTuber stated that TREAT will launch on the Ethereum blockchain instead of Shibarium. Users can still bridge TREAT from Ethereum to Shibarium, similar to other Shiba Inu ecosystem tokens.
Once launched, TREAT will immediately be listed on major centralized exchanges for trading, according to Random Artz. However, the YouTuber did not mention the names of the trading platforms where TREAT will be listed. Meanwhile, leading exchanges like KuCoin have announced plans to list TREAT.
Furthermore, the Shiba Inu leader told Random Artz that TREAT will have a ‘liquidity event’ after its launch. However, this liquidity will be created on a few centralized exchanges instead of DEXs like ShibaSwap or Uniswap.
It is worth mentioning that KuCoin is already orchestrating a pool where new users can farm TREAT tokens.
Shiba Inu to Announce New Partnership This Month
Meanwhile, Kusama hints at upcoming partnerships to be unveiled later this month.
“The last thing that Shytoshi himself wants me to convey to you guys is that this month is going to be a huge month when it comes to partnerships,” Random Artz emphasized.
The prominent YouTuber did not provide details about the entities Shiba Inu will collaborate with. However, he expressed confidence that the partners will be unveiled this month or next.
