Shiba Inu ecosystem team officially starts 2025 with a bang as it confirms the launch date of its highly anticipated token TREAT.
This was confirmed yesterday in an X post from TREAT’s dedicated X account. According to the team, TREAT’s highly anticipated launch is scheduled for this month, January 2025. However, the team did not confirm the exact day of the month TREAT will make its official debut.
TREAT Launch Delay
The team has been hinting at the potential launch of TREAT over the past two years. For context, it introduced TREAT in 2022, characterizing the token as Shiba Inu’s key to complete decentralization.
In April 2024, the team revealed that it sold some portion of the token to venture capitalists in a $12 million fundraiser for its upcoming Layer-3 privacy blockchain.
Following the announcement, the community expected the public sale of TREAT to follow suit. However, this expectation did not become a reality, as the team did not disclose the official launch date at the time.
Notably, scammers exploited this delay to launch fake versions of TREAT tokens to defraud unsuspecting investors. In response, the team issued several warnings, informing the community that TREAT is not publicly available.
Interestingly, Shiba Inu has decided to end all speculation about TREAT by confirming that the token will launch this month.

According to Kusama’s schedule for the year, he will discuss TREAT during the Tuesday segment of his weekly podcast. He will explain the token’s utility and how it fits into the broader Shiba Inu ecosystem, giving the community a full understanding of TREAT’s role and significance.
