Permissionless Labs, developers of Pipe Network, have launched Pipe Firestarter Storage. This new feature expands the network into a full-stack cloud platform, positioning it as a decentralized alternative to services like Cloudflare’s R2 and content delivery network (CDN) tools.
Firestarter Storage was previously used internally to host Solana’s full PoH archival data and snapshots of its ledger. With its public launch, developers can now use this tool to store and deliver data directly through the Pipe Network. The goal is to provide faster and cheaper performance by using decentralized infrastructure instead of relying on centralized providers.
The new storage layer helps developers avoid the delays and costs linked with coordinating between traditional CDNs or other decentralized storage solutions. All data remains within the Pipe Network, and pricing is kept simple to reduce complexity and cost.
The system is optimized for applications that require fast data delivery, such as decentralized apps, video streaming, NFT storage, and AI workloads.
Pipe Firestarter Storage is now publicly available. Pricing starts at one $PIPE token per gigabyte of storage for the basic tier. Full instructions are provided in the network’s official documentation.
