Metis, a Layer-2 scaling solution, announced that Magic Square.io, a Web3 platform, has joined its HyperHack, a three-month hackathon that started May 15th, 2025.
Magic Square.io is a discovery engine and Web3 platform that makes DApps, Web3 services, tools, and games discoverable.
The hackathon, which is scheduled to conclude on August 16Th, 2025, aims to showcase the game-changing potential of Hyperion, Metis’ AI-advanced, high-performing blockchain.
The HyperHack invites developers across the globe to develop and test DApps leveraging Hyperion’s real-time multiprocessing, on-chain AI integration, and high transaction speed.

Magic Square’s Participation at Metis
Magic Square.io has joined participants that are developing and stress-testing decentralized solutions on the Metis blockchain.
The HyperHack, which came after a recent rollout of Hyperion’s testnet on May 6, 2025, marks a crucial moment in Metis’ mission to drive decentralized AI in Web3.
Through structured phases, participants will interact with the Metis community, access innovative tools, and test Hyperion’s infrastructure’s capabilities and greater possibilities, preparing the way for the mainnet deployment in August 2025.
Magic Square’s move shows that multiple Web3 projects continue to join the Metis’ HyperHack. Metis blockchain’s AI-driven infrastructure is ready to be tested, and so the Hackathon invites developers to do their part.
HyperHack is structured into three phases. In the first phase, participants engage in ideation where they share and strengthen project ideas through workshops and community feedback.
In the second phase, participants develop DApps and thoroughly stress-test them on the Hyperion testnet. Projects that develop excellent DApps will be selected and subjected to thorough public stress testing to assess the real-world performance of their DApps.
The final (third) phase (August 7-16) marks the time when the Metis Foundation will offer rewards to projects with the most resilient and innovative DApps. Metis allocated $200,000 for total prizes. Besides the rewards, winners will be provided with investor visibility and incubation opportunities.
