KuCoin has partnered with e-commerce platform Refillarena to allow users to spend their crypto holdings on everyday essentials like mobile recharges, eSims, and gift cards for popular brands like Netflix and Xbox via KuCoin Pay.

According to a Sep. 23 announcement, KuCoin Pay, which is the crypto exchange’s merchant payment solution, is now integrated with Refillarena’s global digital catalog. As such, KuCoin users can now pay for entertainment vouchers, mobile top-ups, and international data plans by either scanning a QR code or using wallet-based transactions directly from the KuCoin Pay interface.
Refillarena is a global e-commerce platform that also supports both fiat payments and over 300 different cryptocurrencies and offers instant delivery on a wide range of digital products, including gift cards, eSIMs, and mobile recharges across more than 180 countries. Its catalog spans categories like gaming, entertainment, fashion, and health, with options from brands such as Amazon, Steam, Netflix, Nike, and Sephora.
In an accompanying statement, Refillarena CEO Ahmed AlBadri said the collaboration with KuCoin is expected to provide “greater value” for customers.
“By integrating KuCoin Pay, Refillarena users will be able to enjoy smoother crypto payments, stronger security, and instant access to our global catalog – all in one trusted platform,” AlBadri added.

For KuCoin, the latest move was another step towards making cryptocurrencies as “practical as cash” for KuCoin pay users, according to project lead Raymond Ngai. Since launching KuCoin pay in January this year, the exchange has consistently partnered with various brands and platforms to expand its use case by giving users more avenues to spend their crypto directly from their wallets.
Last week, the platform entered the Swiss market through a partnership with DFX.swiss, one of the country’s leading cryptocurrency service providers, to enable crypto payments at over 100 stores operating under the SPAR brand.
As part of the Refillarena integration, KuCoin Pay will also offer a 15% discount of up to $10 on select items between Sep. 23 and Oct. 23.
Over the past months, KuCoin has been allocating a lot of its resources to expanding brand visibility via major partnerships and new offerings.
For instance, earlier this month, KuCoin signed golf icon Adam Scott as its first global brand ambassador. Just weeks later, it went on to unveil a new cloud mining platform dubbed KuMining that lets users mine Bitcoin (BTC), Dogecoin (DOGE), and Litecoin (LTC) without needing to purchase or maintain any hardware themselves.
Back in August, KuCoin made headlines after it was selected as the lead crypto exchange for Thailand’s tokenized bond program.
