Shiba Inu lead developer Shytoshi Kusama has reacted to the listing of TREAT on prominent crypto exchanges KuCoin, Bitget, and Gate.io.
These exchanges have announced the listing of Shiba Inu’s fourth ecosystem token, TREAT, on their respective trading platforms.
TREAT Support on KuCoin and Bitget
According to the announcements, TREAT will be paired against Tether (USDT) on both platforms. Notably, its spot trading will commence on January 14, 2025, at precisely 11:00 (UTC).
It bears mentioning that the trading schedule coincides with the official launch date of the TREAT token. The exchanges have opened deposits for TREAT, allowing users to deposit the token to their accounts in preparation for trading.
Users can deposit TREAT into their KuCoin, Gate.io., and Bitget accounts through the Ethereum network. The exchanges will open TREAT withdrawals on January 15, 2025.
While users can withdraw their TREAT tokens from KuCoin at 10:00 (UTC) on January 15, 2025, withdrawals on Bitget will commence two hours later at 12:00 (UTC).
Bitget to Airdrop 87.45M TREAT to Users
To celebrate TREAT’s listing, the team behind Bitget announced plans to distribute 87.45 million of the token to its users. The eligibility criteria require Bitget users to lock BGB or USDT in any designated campaign pool.
The locking period runs from January 14, 2025, at 11:00 (UTC) to January 17, 2025, at 12:00 (UTC). Notably, users who lock up BGB during the campaign period will earn a share of 79.5 million TREAT, while USDT stakers will participate in the sharing of 7.95 million TREAT.

Shiba Inu Lead Reacts
Following the development, Kusama emphasized the unique nature of TREAT. He asserted that TREAT’s initial listing on Bitget, Gate.io., and KuCoin showcases that its launch is different from the debut of other ecosystem tokens.
While acknowledging Bitget as the first exchange to list TREAT, he suggested that more trading platforms will follow suit.

In a follow-up post, the Shiba Inu leader encouraged the community to brace up for imminent developments, saying, “[…] Things are about to move VERY quickly. Hold onto your tails!”
This indicates that Shiba Inu community members could see more ecosystem updates, like partnerships or more exchange support for TREAT.
As reported earlier, Kusama disclosed plans to announce new partnerships this month. It remains to be seen what updates the team will likely share with the community.
