Free Republic of Liberland has appointed EstateX as its official tokenization partner as the nation levels up in blockchain adoption. The microstate is building its reputation as a hub for innovation and blockchain adoption under the leadership of Prime Minister Justin Sun.
The collaboration will see EstateX tokenize the country’s economy, spanning real estate, stocks, bonds, schools, and infrastructure. Liberland was officially proclaimed on April 13, 2015, by founder Vít Jedlička on unclaimed land along the Danube River. The state is three times the size of Monaco.
Republic of Liberland is set to become the first nation to implement a fully tokenized economy. Through EstateX’s infrastructure, assets will be fractionalized, traded, and made accessible to global investors, opening participation in what could be the most ambitious blockchain-based financial experiment yet.
Liberland President Vít Jedlička welcomed the agreement, saying Liberland is ”a hub for blockchain innovation.” Jedlička said:
“We’re delighted to welcome EstateX to Liberland, reinforcing our nation’s status as a hub for blockchain innovation. What our micronation lacks in size, it makes up for in ambition – and with EstateX onboard, Liberland is on course to tokenize the world.”
EstateX Co-Founder Bart de Bruijn further emphasized the significance of the partnership for both EstateX and Liberland. He said:
“Being appointed as the tokenization partner of the Republic of Liberland is a historic milestone for EstateX and for the future of national economies. This collaboration shows how blockchain can unlock liquidity, open access to capital, and provide a transparent financial system at the country level.”
Liberland and EstateX Aim to Build the First Fully Tokenized Economy
To support the effort, EstateX will deploy its suite of platforms, including TokenizeX, PropXChange, EstateX Pay, LaunchX, CapitalX, and its ESX L1 blockchain, which is purpose-built for real-world assets.
The infrastructure will allow Liberland to fractionalize ownership and open investment opportunities to participants globally, with entry points starting from as little as $100.
EstateX’s broader strategy is to work with governments and sovereign states. Both EstateX and Liberland aim to demonstrate how tokenization can change financial systems and expand economic participation worldwide.
