This week, STEPN announced its collaboration with adidas to introduce a collection of NFT sneakers. This move-to-earn platform, renowned for gamifying wellness, has joined forces with the global sports brand to create a limited collection of generative NFT sneakers inspired by adidas’ iconic running silhouettes.

The 1000 STEPN x adidas Genesis Sneakers, co-branded with STEPN’s lightning bolt logo and Adidas’ signature three stripes, are minted on the Solana blockchain, ensuring each pair is unique. This drop marks the inaugural step in a year-long partnership between the two brands, promising a blend of physical items and digital products.
According to Shiti Manghani, CEO of STEPN by FSL, the collaboration aims to invigorate the Web3 communities of both brands and promote an active lifestyle.

Manghani revealed that the integration extends beyond NFTs to include collaborative app features aimed at motivating and incentivizing running. She emphasized, “The collaboration underscores the power of simultaneously earning rewards in both the virtual and real world.”
With STEPN boasting five million registered users since its launch in 2021, the partnership capitalizes on the platform’s fusion of Web3 with the gaming and wellness industries. Manghani highlighted, “NFTs are no longer just collectibles; they are integral to gameplay.”
The STEPN x adidas Genesis Sneakers collection will be available on the MOOAR marketplace, priced at 10,000 in STEPN’s native GMT token (equivalent to approximately $3,000). This pricing reflects STEPN’s floor price, currently at 19,000 GMT.
Distribution of the collection will commence with a two-phase raffle starting April 17, with the first phase catering to members of the ALTS by adidas Web3 community and eligible members of the broader FSL community. The public sale runs from April 18 to 21.
This collaboration follows STEPN’s previous partnership with Steve Aoki’s AoK1Verse ecosystem and adidas Originals’ collaboration with BAPE on a limited edition sneaker coupled with a digital twin NFT version. As the boundaries between physical and digital realms blur, the Genesis Sneakers NFT Collection signifies a quantum leap towards the intersection of Web3 wellness and haute couture.
