HTX, a cryptocurrency exchange, recently published a rather cryptic post on their official X profile.
The post read “Building Stronger 🤝 Together,” accompanied by a drawing of Justin Sun and Donald Trump sitting next to each other. The image also included references to the TronBull meme coin and SunPump, TRON’s first meme coin fair launch platform.
HTX provided no further explanation, so we can only speculate what this means or could lead to in the future, especially in case this is a teaser for some kind of announcement.
However, the hints are there since every item in the picture is connected in one way or another.
Justin Sun is the founder of TRON and an advisor to HTX. In November last year, he invested $30 million in World Liberty Financial (WLFI), a cryptocurrency project associated with the Trump family. In doing so, he became its largest investor.
Over time, Sun invested even more, especially after Trump’s inauguration, bringing his WLFI holdings to $90 million in the second half of January this year.
Shortly after, he was named an advisor to WLFI, further strengthening his relationship with the Trump family in the crypto space.
On the other hand, the TronBull ($TBULL) is the first meme coin representing TRON’s mascot, Tron Bull. It’s bonded on SunPump and is community-managed, reflecting TRON’s engagement with the meme coin culture.
HTX’s Role in Trump-Linked Crypto
HTX was among the first major exchanges to list Trump’s official meme coins, $TRUMP and $MELANIA, shortly after their launch.
It also boosted market activity through promotional campaigns, including airdrop giveaways of TRUMP and WLFI tokens.
Another connection is that Justin Sun is also a member of the exchange’s Global Advisory Board.
All in all, the imagery and the post itself suggest a strengthening alliance between Justin Sun’s TRON ecosystem, Donald Trump’s crypto initiatives, and the broader meme coin community.
But then again, it could also indicate nothing, as the post could just be a simple buzzbait. Once again, time will tell whether there’s more to the story.
