Garanti BBVA Kripto, a subsidiary of Turkey’s Garanti BBVA, has announced a partnership with Luxembourg-based cryptocurrency exchange Bitstamp to provide crypto trading services to its customers.

Turkish Bank Subsidiary Collaborates With Bitstamp

This collaboration represents the first liquidity provider partnership for Garanti BBVA Kripto since its establishment in May 2023. The agreement designates Bitstamp as the principal liquidity provider for the platform, enabling access to a variety of digital assets through its Bitstamp-as-a-Service solution. This initiative is designed to integrate traditional financial services with the expanding cryptocurrency sector in Turkey.

Renowned for its adherence to regulatory standards and global financial licensing, Bitstamp highlighted its commitment to meeting the growing demand for secure and regulated crypto solutions. In a statement shared with Bitcoin.com News, the company emphasized how the partnership seeks to enhance the accessibility and integration of digital assets for Turkish investors while aligning with the nation’s evolving legal frameworks.

Korcan Abalı, CEO of Garanti BBVA Kripto, underscored the strategic value of the collaboration. He cited Bitstamp’s regulatory acumen and extensive market experience as pivotal in supporting the company’s mission to deliver secure, high-caliber crypto services while fostering the sustainable advancement of Turkey’s digital asset ecosystem.

Bitstamp’s Global CEO, Jean-Baptiste Graftieaux, characterized the agreement as a significant step toward mainstream cryptocurrency adoption. He stressed the importance of collaborating with one of Turkey’s leading private banks to elevate standards of consumer protection, transparency, and accessibility.

This partnership illustrates a growing pattern of traditional financial institutions venturing into the digital asset domain through collaborations with established cryptocurrency exchanges. As Turkey solidifies its position as a key player in the global cryptocurrency market, this alliance positions both entities to address the increasing demand for trading platforms that prioritize security and regulatory compliance.
