Galaxy will provide staking infrastructure for Morgan Stanley’s new Ethereum and Solana exchange-traded products, giving investors access to staking rewards through regulated investment vehicles.
The Morgan Stanley Ethereum Trust and Morgan Stanley Solana Trust will stake part of their holdings through institutional validators. Galaxy is one of three providers selected to support staking for both products.

Galaxy Expands Institutional Staking Role
The ETPs are designed to track the prices of Ether and Solana while passing staking rewards to shareholders. Morgan Stanley and Galaxy did not disclose how much of the funds’ assets Galaxy is expected to manage.

“Ethereum and Solana have different validator requirements, different client bases, different risk considerations,” Kurz said.
Galaxy had $2.8 billion in assets staked across several proof-of-stake networks at the end of the second quarter.
Morgan Stanley Deepens Crypto Strategy
Morgan Stanley’s Ally Wallace said staking remains an important part of the Ethereum and Solana networks and highlighted Galaxy’s experience supporting both.
The partnership builds on a broader relationship between the firms. Galaxy recently supported Bank Leumi’s planned Bitcoin, Ether and Solana trading service and is working with BNY on a potential expansion of institutional staking, subject to regulatory approval.
Morgan Stanley and Galaxy also launched a crypto lending structure tied to Bitcoin ETPs in June. The latest agreement adds staking to their growing work on digital-asset products for institutional investors.
