Edoardo Farina, founder of Alpha Lions Academy, shares insights on how many XRP tokens one needs to hold to join the prestigious ranks of the world’s wealthiest XRP holders.
In numerous videos shared on social media, Farina has explained what it takes to secure a spot among the top XRP holders globally.
XRP Required for the Top 10% Wallets
Farina clarified that owning just 2,501 XRP can place an investor in the top 10% of the largest XRP wallet holders. As of today, 617,768 XRP wallets belong to the top ten holder category. For context, XRP has a massive pool of 6.17 million holders.
At XRP’s current floor price of $2.62, it costs approximately $6,503 to acquire 2,501 tokens and enter the top 10% threshold. However, as of last year, the cost to secure a spot among the top holders was about $1,500.
Notably, as of August 2024, 523,615 wallets met the minimum requirement of the top 10%. Fast forward to six months later, and that number has increased by nearly 100K.
However, Farina pointed out that some individuals may hold multiple wallets, citing that he himself owns up to 20 XRP wallets.
Breaking into the Top 5%
Meanwhile, to join the top 5% of XRP holders, an investor must possess 9,122 XRP, which Farina calls the “shark” level. There are 308,884 wallets in this category.
Farina recommends aspiring investors aim for at least 10,000 XRP, as this level positions them for potential future success. As of now, 10,000 XRP costs $26,000.
While this could be a pricey sum for many, Farina advocates for a dollar-cost averaging (DCA) strategy to reach this amount.
Farina also predicts that those with 10,000 XRP will likely be able to “cash out” sooner than those holding fewer tokens, especially if XRP reaches higher targets, such as $10 to $100 per token.
For context, at a hypothetical valuation of $100 per XRP, those holding 10,000 tokens would become millionaires.
He believes that even smaller holders could eventually join the ranks of the wealthy as scarcity increases, likely influenced by institutions rushing to accumulate XRP for liquidity, as widely anticipated among XRP enthusiasts.
Top 1% Wealthy XRP Holders
For those aiming to reach the prestigious top 1% of XRP holders, 53,212 XRP is the minimum threshold. Presently, acquiring this portfolio comes with a significant capital commitment of $138,351.
However, just four months ago, one could have acquired the same portfolio for only $26K. As of the latest data, only 61,777 wallets are in this exclusive group.
