El Salvador’s uncompromising commitment to high standards in technology education and bitcoin policy has earned renewed international acclaim, with bitcoin advocate Pierre Rochard offering strong praise during his recent visit to the country. Speaking to participants in the government-backed CUBO+ and CUBO AI programs this week, Rochard highlighted how El Salvador is reshaping its national future through rigorous educational investments and strategic economic innovation.
Rochard lauded the intellectual preparedness of the students: “The questions they ask are always pertinent and often anticipate the topics I’m going to discuss. This shows the high quality of the students and the program itself.” He emphasized that understanding both bitcoin and AI is essential for long-term success, stating:
I see these two fields as complementary; students should learn about bitcoin for savings and about AI for its usefulness and positive application.
He further noted the transformative potential of consistent bitcoin savings: “If they can save a little bit of bitcoin every week or month, after ten years, that becomes a substantial amount of capital.”
Rochard added, “Programs like CUBO+ are empowering Salvadorans with the tools needed to create and leverage these technologies,” commending the country’s integrated approach to training in both bitcoin and artificial intelligence. CUBO+ focuses on cultivating elite-level bitcoin developers, while CUBO AI trains students in artificial intelligence applications. With prominent global figures such as Adam Back and Cathie Wood among the mentors, the programs are designed to place El Salvador at the forefront of Latin American innovation.
