Doctor Profit has made a bold prediction about Bitcoin’s future. He anticipates that Bitcoin will continue its sideways movement for another 43 days. This follows a lengthy period of stagnation that began in March, lasting 191 days. During this time, Bitcoin has fluctuated within a defined range, leading to emotional swings among traders.
Market Interest Grows as Bitcoin Hovers Near 68k
Back in March, a lot of people believed that Bitcoin would rise as soon as it got near 70k. However, this has not come to pass but Doctor Profit cautioned that it might take many years of sideways movement and this has materialized. With Bitcoin hovering near 68k, peoples interest increases. On the other hand, values below 60k are considered to translate to a further reduction to 40k or lower.
To elaborate, he says that this sideways movement is normal after Bitcoin halvings. Past events indicate that after every halving, the Bitcoin price goes through similar periods of stagnation before beginning new upward trends. At the time of writing this paper, Bitcoin has progressed about 13% through its four-year cycle. Doctor Profit notes that previous cycles often lead to significant bullish movements after reaching 12-16% completion.
Doctor Profit Predicts 43 Days to Reach 16% Cycle Mark
Using this analysis, it will take another 43 days to achieve the 16% mark. Such a prediction complies with the previous trends in 2020 when the bull run began in winter. Doctor Profit thinks that once this consolidation is over, Bitcoin will move out of this range. This phase enables the major investors to buy more Bitcoin at a cheaper price leaving behind the average trader.
In the short-term, Doctor Profit points to the MA20 Weekly indicator in which Bitcoin has been closing above the indicator for four weeks. He goes further to recommend that any pull back to around 62k should be considered a good buying opportunity.
Overall, he believes the situation will burst the current range in the next two to three months. Additionally, he mentions that further positive momentum will be generated by the reports of quarterly earnings of large companies, such as META, Coinbase, Microsoft. Doctor Profit is still bullish, and has Bitcoin targets of 250-300k as well as 550k by 2030. Patience, he insists, is key in the world of crypto.
