Chainlink, a platform that provides real-world data to blockchains, and the Aptos Foundation, that supports development and growth of the Aptos blockchain, announced that the Chainlink Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) is now live on the Aptos mainnet. This is the first time CCIP has been integrated with a Move-based blockchain, expanding interoperability across more than 60 EVM and non-EVM networks.
Aave’s GHO stablecoin, along with Bedrock’s uniBTC and brBTC, can now be used on Aptos. These assets can be transferred via the CCIP-powered Interport application. The integration enables DeFi protocols and token issuers to extend their services into the Aptos ecosystem, offering broader access for users and developers.
CCIP provides the secure infrastructure needed for institutional-grade applications, building on Chainlink’s decentralized systems that secure tens of trillions in value. Aptos now connects with Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, BNB Chain, OP Mainnet, and Sonic, with further expansions planned.
The deployment follows earlier integrations of Chainlink Data Feeds on Aptos and the Aptos Foundation’s involvement in the Chainlink Scale program. Together, these initiatives aim to increase cross-chain liquidity and adoption of the Aptos blockchain.
