The Ginger upgrade reportedly enables “The Doubling” feature to double the data accessibility throughput of Celestia. Additionally, the upgrade reduces the block times to only 6 seconds, highlighting a 50% decrease from the previous 12 seconds. In this way, the network now offers rapid single-slot finality, enhancing user experience to a great extent. With this, the data throughput of nearly 1.33 MB/s leads toward additional community governance-led improvements.
