After much speculation, Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson has provided a response for the public on the latest malfunction of Nami, a wallet that the protocol bought to supplement its in-house-designed alternative, Lace Wallet.
A team was formed to investigate the problem with Nami’s use of ADAHandles, as Hoskinson explained in his statement. The delay in retrieving these ADAHandles is one of the problems found by the crew.
ADAHandles Temporarily Disabled
To put it in context, he imagined a user attempting to input handles, maybe ranging from $NFT to $NFTs. It seems like there’s a holdup in updating the destination to $NFTs. In order to save face and prevent more harm, the team has taken action by disabling the ADAHandles in the Nami wallet.

The team is now awaiting clearance from Google, since they have already built and sent the code to disable the feature.
