Blockchain Capital (BCAP), a venture firm in the blockchain landscape, has announced an upgrade initiative to revamp its innovative tokenized venture fund. The firm announced the matter on the X platform and highlighted two major upgrade programs for its tokenized venture fund.
As part of the upgrades, BCAP said it completely migrated the fund to ZKsync. BCAP plays a crucial role in shaping the digital asset ecosystem. The upgrades on its tokenized venture fund demonstrate the company’s commitment to open up new opportunities for issuers and investors.

Migrations and upgrades
The migration to ZKsync is an important upgrade for investors in the fund, who now can benefit from faster transactions, significantly decreased fees, and expected dividend payouts.
ZKsync is one of the prominent Ethereum scaling solutions, providing a strong Layer 2 platform. Through its groundbreaking zero-knowledge proof (ZKP) technology, ZKsync tremendously reduces fees and improves transaction speed while maintaining Ethereum’s security promises. This makes it a perfect platform for firms (like Blockchain Capital and others), which want to bring tokenized assets to both institutional and ordinary investors.
BCAP tapped into ZKsync’s technology to revolutionize how investors interact with venture investments and capitalize on such assets on-chain. The migration develops BCAP’s continued dedication to efficiency and innovation in venture capital. The development builds on the fund’s incredible achievements and its function in democratizing access to venture capital investments.
The second component of the upgrade plans is that BCAP said its tokenized venture fund will start offering dividend payments to investors. Beginning January 2025, the firm would periodically distribute $0.25 per token to the fund’s token holders. The dividend represents a return of 25% of the initial purchase price of $1 per fund token.
A paradigm shift in venture capital
BCAP’s tokenized fund revolutionized the venture capital industry by giving certified and non-US investors the flexibility to invest in such investment vehicles. This makes investing in venture capital accessible to a wide variety of investors. As a result, since April 2017, the venture fund absorbed more than 850 investors (from 80 nations) with different financial capabilities ranging from $10 to almost $1 million.
Tokenized funds are revolutionizing the investment landscape by integrating traditional asset management with the power of blockchain technology. This shift resolves persistent challenges in conventional finance, like disconnected market access, high operating expenses, and liquidity limitations.
Blockchain can tokenize funds such as real estate funds, hedge funds, private equity funds, ETFs, and others into digital tokens. This approach presents several benefits to both investors and fund managers.
The illiquidity of assets is one of the key hurdles in traditional investment funds. Tokenization enables the spitting of assets into smaller units called shares or stakes, creating a market where investors can easily buy, sell, and trade freely. This increased liquidity enables fund managers to attract a bigger pool of investors and allow more efficient and faster transactions. By fractioning ownership, investors with little money can buy assets that were out of their reach in the past.
Tokenized funds are here to stay as they are a fundamental shift in how people approach investment opportunities. As regulations continue to evolve, the tokenization of assets will become broader, providing extraordinary opportunities for investors and fund managers.
