Bithumb has announced it will be introducing another new crypto asset to investors. According to the official statement from the South Korea-based cryptocurrency exchange, OpenEden (EDEN) will soon begin trading against the Korean won (KRW). For a limited period, transaction fees will also be zero.
According to information shared by the exchange, EDEN will only be supported via the Ethereum network. It was specifically emphasized that transfers made through other networks will not be accepted.
Deposit and withdrawal options for EDEN will be activated within two hours of the announcement’s publication. Trading on the KRW market is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at 5:00 PM. The initial reference price for the asset is set at 92.26 Korean won, and the required number of blocks for investment confirmation is 33.
Bithumb announced that it will eliminate transaction fees for EDEN transactions from December 16, 2025 at 5:00 PM to December 18, 2025 at 5:00 PM in order to increase investor interest. However, transactions made during this period will be included in the calculation of membership level, but transaction points and maker rewards will be excluded. Furthermore, users engaging in market manipulation or unfair profit-seeking activities will not be eligible for the fee exemption.
To ensure a secure trading environment, buy orders will be restricted for the first 5 minutes after listing. During the same period, sell orders cannot be placed at levels 10% below or 100% above the reference price. Only limit orders will be accepted for the first two hours.
Bithumb warned investors to carefully check network and address information before transferring funds, and reminded them that under the Travel Rule, only transfers from supported exchanges would be accepted.
