According to what has been reported, it seems that the second Bitcoin city of El Salvador has been unveiled: Berlín.
It is a small town hidden among the mountains with 20,000 inhabitants, featuring 150 businesses that accept payments in Bitcoin. Located about two hours away from the capital, the medium-sized city of Berlín has become one of the largest Bitcoin circular economies in the world.
In fact, walking through its streets, it is easy to find all types of local businesses that accept payments in BTC, from the greengrocer to the mechanic, and so on.
The Bitcoin Community Center is located in the heart of the city of Berlín. According to the reported experience, here is how it is described:
“It is a delightful place, with a cafeteria, a classroom, a podcast recording room, an administrative office, and a garden. Most of the activities take place in the cafeteria; people can sit and chat, buy cookies, use a bitcoin ATM, work on their projects, or simply read books related to Bitcoin.”
Berlín is the second Bitcoin city of El Salvador, right after El Zonte with El Bitcoin Beach.

Unlike what happens in El Zonte, the headquarters of the first circular economy in Bitcoin of El Salvador, in Berlín there are no tourists.
In practice, El Zonte has become a tourist hotspot, with the surfer village known as Bitcoin Beach which has attracted curious foreigners.
In Berlin, however, the tourist footprint is minimized as it seems to be still unknown, and therefore it is the Salvadorans themselves who have started to use bitcoin for everyday purchases.
From what has emerged, it seems that there are already 150 businesses that accept payments in BTC, which is about 25% of the total companies in Berlin.
Not only that, it seems that the adoption rate is accelerating. In fact, while initially the Bitcoin Community Center team used to knock on doors to explain the advantages of using Bitcoin, now it is the Berliners who tend to show up at the office on their own initiative, at a rate of 3-5 new people per week.
The first Plan ₿ Forum of Tether in the Country
Last month, the first Plan ₿ Forum El Salvador by Tether was held, which marked the sold out with 2,500 participants.
The event brought together industry leaders, politicians, and innovators at Tether’s new headquarters in El Salvador, promoting the country as a hub for financial innovation.
Among the various things that happened and were said at the event, special attention was given to the second statue of Satoshi Nakamoto (the first is located in Lugano), presented by the Satoshi Gallery.
Not only that, another significant announcement was the one concerning the integration of USDT into the Bitcoin and Lightning Network ecosystem.
