- BeraTone officially launched its NFT avatar mint on OpenSea, offering 6,500 fully rigged 3D characters for in-game and VTuber use.
- Private playtest access and concrete utilities make BeraToners more than just a collectible.
The BeraToners NFT collection from the BeraTone game has officially started minting on OpenSea since May 22. For those who don’t know, BeraTone is a multiplayer farming and crafting game reminiscent of Animal Crossing, but with a blockchain twist. The main character? A cute 3D bear named “Beras” who is fully usable in-game, or even for streaming and virtual meetings.

More Than Just Cute Bears: These Avatars Are Built for Action
Well, the NFT collection, called BeraToners, contains 6,500 unique avatars, each fully rigged and ready to use. This means that you are not just buying a picture, but also a character that can move, express, and is ready to appear as a VTuber if you want. Seriously, this is not your ordinary digital collection.
Not only that, they have also started a private playtest of BeraTone for exclusive NFT holders. So it’s not just sweet promises, but there is already proof of playing directly. Founder’s Sailcloth NFT holders can already try the initial version, and the results? The community is getting more enthusiastic, more active, more and more people are connecting their wallets to OpenSea.
Behind this launch, the trading volume immediately skyrocketed. In just 24 hours, more than 41,000 BERA have changed hands. The total volume is almost 57,000 BERA, indicating that the market is welcoming this collection with quite hot enthusiasm.
Maybe it’s not just about the appearance, but also its concrete utility, such as early playtest access, multipliers for the play-to-earn system, and community benefits.
However, BeraTone does not stand alone in its ecosystem. This game is built on the Berachain network, which has also been quite busy in the last few days. For example, Adventure Layer has just been launched as the first Layer-2 specifically for AI-based games on Berachain.
As we previously reported, they brought in $15 million in community funds through AGLD DAO and Adventure Forge to support game developers and reward players. So if games like BeraTone are growing rapidly, there’s a reason.
Berachain’s Busy Week: QIA Burns, NFT Loans, and Layer-2 Dreams
On the other hand, the DeFi world attached to the Berachain network also continues to innovate. CNF previously highlighted Berachain’s latest yield strategy through OFT-based lending and liquidity markets in RFRV Batch 8. But what caught the most attention was the “buy-and-burn” scheme for QIA tokens.
This system works by buying QIA on the market, then immediately burning it, aka removing it from circulation. This model is expected to encourage scarcity and stabilize the value of QIA, while reducing selling pressure.
Furthermore, a DeFi platform called PaddleFi has also released an NFT Money Market product on Berachain, on May 20th. Here, users can borrow with NFT collateral, and the price of the NFT is determined in real-time via bitsCrunch.
This idea might have sounded crazy a few years ago, but now? What if you could pawn your game character to get farming capital. Very digital lifestyle.
Meanwhile, as of press time, BERA is swapped hands at about $3.36, up 4.52% over the last 24 hours and its daily transaction volume is about $70 million.
