Band Oracle v3’s upgrade launch
Band protocol owns and runs BandChain, a blockchain that is built on top of the Cosmos SDK. The blockchain is explicitly meant for oracle computation, enabling smart contracts to interact with real-world data effectively and securely.
According to the report, the successful testing of 200+ symbols on the Band v3 testnet shows various implications. First, it highlights the upcoming launch of the Band Oracle v3 in the mainnet in Q3 (in July, August, or September 2025). The v3 testnet testnet ran parallel to the BandChain mainnet.

Staking providers utilized the test to prepare for the token symbols of the Band network. The more Band tokens staked for a particular symbol, the more often validators will give updates on its price data. This consensus approach ensures that the oracle gives data for tokens with high demand.
