Jefferies said it expects a new wave of crypto and blockchain-related public listings as institutional adoption of digital asset infrastructure accelerates across Wall Street and the payments industry. In a report published after its first Digital Assets Investor Conference in New York, Jefferies said it expects a surge of crypto-related public listings over the next two years and believes the sector could grow into a $1 trillion public market within five years. The conference, which gathered executives from 35 digital asset companies alongside roughly 150 institutional investors, focused less on bitcoin price speculation and more on how blockchain systems are…

While retail investors are pushing unprecedented volumes of trade through crypto perpetual futures, consumer advocacy organizations are quietly working to shape the regulatory framework governing one of the most high-risk products. Instead of just lobbying to Congress, these organizations are influencing the regulatory process through submitting comment letters, filing court briefs, and pushing regulators to impose greater restrictions on the industry before rules are finalized. One of the most active groups is Better Markets, a Washington-based nonprofit led by former Skadden attorney Dennis Kelleher. According to its website, the organization has submitted more than 500 comment letters to financial regulators…
Cryptocurrency exchange MEXC has launched staking support for Bittensor’s native $TAO token, allowing users to earn rewards by helping secure one of the largest decentralized artificial intelligence networks. Bittensor validator Yuma announced Tuesday that MEXC has integrated its validator infrastructure to support $TAO staking for the exchange’s reported 40 million users. Yuma participates in Bittensor’s consensus mechanism by evaluating the performance of network subnets — specialized AI applications that perform specific machine learning tasks — and assigning weights that help determine how staking rewards are distributed. The companies said the integration is intended to expand access to the Bittensor ecosystem…
Allen Konevsky, Chairman and Chief Executive of tZERO Group, one of only two firms to hold a special purpose broker-dealer licence from the US Securities and Exchange Commission, has said he has a long-term bias toward tokens that function as infrastructure ingredients rather than stores of value, singling out $XRP and Ether as assets better suited to the future of tokenized capital markets than Bitcoin. Bitcoin Versus $XRP Question Asked directly to choose between Bitcoin and $XRP, Konevsky said the question is one he gets in various forms regularly, and that his answer consistently comes back to the same underlying…
Shareholders of Sweden’s H100 Group voted on Monday for the board to issue the new shares it needs to complete the acquisition of the Norwegian Bitcoin-holding duo of Moonshot AS and Never Say Die AS. The deal will lift H100’s Bitcoin reserve from 1,051 $BTC to roughly 3,500 $BTC. The critical item at this year’s annual general meeting was to give the board the signal to issue consideration shares to sellers of both Norwegian companies under a share purchase agreement signed April 23, according to the official AGM report. Every other item on the agenda got passed by the board…
Bitcoin and altcoins have experienced sharp declines since last October. With $BTC falling to $57,000 and Ethereum to $1,400, investors are now eagerly awaiting an upward trend. At this point, as investors closely monitor the data, CryptoQuant analysts have shared their latest analysis for Ethereum. According to a recent report from the on-chain analytics platform CryptoQuant, Ethereum is cheap, but the data suggests the bottom hasn’t been reached yet. According to CryptoQuant analysts, $ETH has fallen to more attractive valuation levels compared to Bitcoin. However, the analysts note that despite the price drop, a classic “capitulation” (complete surrender) has not…
A major experiment led by the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) found that tokenization could help fix some of the biggest pain points in cross-border payments, from slow settlement times to costly reconciliation between banks. Project Agorá, a joint effort between the BIS, seven central banks and more than 40 private financial institutions, concluded that tokenized central bank reserves and commercial bank deposits could support atomic settlement across currencies and jurisdictions. Atomic settlement refers to transactions completing on an “all-or-nothing” basis, reducing the risk that one side of a cross-border payment fails while the other succeeds. The initiative involved the…
SIREN emerged on $BNB Chain in early 2025 as an AI-themed memecoin centered around two AI personas, Golden Siren and Crimson Siren. The project promoted itself as an AI assistant capable of analyzing market activity, whale movements, liquidity, and trading signals. Its roadmap also included plans for an AI-powered DEX and trading agent. The token quickly received ecosystem support. On February 19, SIREN appeared on Binance Alpha. $BNB Chain later selected the project as a winner in its Meme Liquidity Program, initially providing $200,000 in liquidity support and later restoring another $400,000 reward after ranking adjustments. Total support reached roughly…
Twelve-plus states, criminal charges in Arizona, tribes at the Ninth Circuit, and a federal agency suing its own states’ regulators: the fight over whether a sports contract is a commodity or a bet has become the biggest federalism war in American finance, and crypto’s future regulator is fighting it with one commissioner. The United States is currently conducting a legal experiment of unusual purity: the same two companies, offering the same product, are simultaneously legal, illegal, criminal, and constitutionally protected, depending on which state line you stand behind. Kalshi and Polymarket, the prediction markets whose sports contracts processed billions this…
