April is looking like a big month for crypto, with several major token unlocks set to happen across different projects. These pre-planned releases of previously locked tokens often create market uncertainty, injecting billions in new supply, impacting valuations, and swaying investor sentiment.
TRUMP Token Faces $420M Unlock After Price Plunge
The biggest unlock on the list is the TRUMP token, with a massive $420 million worth of tokens being released on April 18; that’s 20% of the total supply.
This comes shortly after a sharp market drop triggered by the White House’s announcement on April 8, which continued into April 9. Bitcoin, often seen as a safe haven during market volatility, fell below $75,000 — wiping out gains from the previous day, when rumors of a possible tariff pause had briefly lifted prices.
The TRUMP token itself has been hit hard recently, dropping roughly 75% from its all-time high near $75 to trade around $7.64 currently. Adding a substantial token unlock into this weak price action could create more selling pressure for the asset.

Other Notable April Unlocks
Next up is SUI, which unlocked $206 million worth of tokens at the month’s start on April 1. Even though this was just 2.5% of the total supply, the dollar value is still big enough to impact the market, especially if there’s a lot of trading activity around it.
April 12 is another date traders are watching closely. CIRQ is scheduled to unlock nearly all its tokens – about 99% of the total supply – worth around $148 million. That’s a major event for the project and could totally change how the token behaves in the market going forward.
That same day, Aptos (APT), Axie Infinity (AXS), and ENA are also set to unlock millions of dollars worth of tokens, potentially leading to heightened market activity.
Later in the month, Arbitrum (ARB) will release $33 million worth of tokens on April 16. Jito (JTO) unlocks $26 million on April 7. Ronin (RON) and MOVE will each unlock $24 million — RON on April 27, and MOVE on April 9.

Context: These significant token unlocks hitting a nervous market could amplify selling pressure, as new supply meets potentially weaker demand, especially for already stressed assets like TRUMP or those with huge relative increases like CIRQ.
