Andrew Tate bets $100k in crypto on ‘BitBoy’ for upcoming fight

Andrew Tate, the controversial internet personality and former kickboxing champion, has pledged his support for crypto influencer Ben Armstrong, also known as “BitBoy.”

Tate has promised $100,000 in Daddy Tate (DADDY) token to Armstrong if he wins his upcoming fight against a fellow crypto influencer, @blknoiz06 (often referred to as “Ansem”).

The fight is scheduled to take place on December 6, 2024, in Dubai as part of the Crypto Fight Week event.

Who is Ben Armstrong, aka “BitBoy”?

Ben Armstrong, widely known in the crypto world as “BitBoy,” has amassed a large following on social media, primarily through his YouTube channel and Twitter (X), where he shares cryptocurrency news, insights, and predictions.

Armstrong is a polarizing figure within the crypto community, celebrated by some for his advocacy and educational content on digital assets, but criticized by others for promoting dubious projects in the past.

This upcoming match with Ansem isn’t Armstrong’s first step into the ring either. Known for his willingness to address personal and professional challenges head-on, Armstrong participated in a previous fight where he fought against “More Light,” the developer of the memecoin HarryPotterObamaSonic10Inu.

Armstrong emerged victorious by unanimous decision after three two-minute rounds in his attempt to clear his reputation in the community and push back against critics.

Tate’s involvement and his big bet

Andrew Tate took to X (formerly Twitter) on November 7 to announce his sponsorship of Armstrong for this fight. He made a bold statement by offering to sponsor Armstrong “head to toe” in DADDY and even pledged a $100,000 bonus if Armstrong can knock out Ansem. Tate didn’t hold back in his message, calling out Ansem directly and labeling him a “scammer.” His message to Armstrong was unambiguous:

“I will sponsor you head to toe in $Daddy coin so you can knock out Ansem for me. I’ll also give you 100k in $Daddy coin once you win. Hurt him. He’s a scammer.”

For many in the crypto space, this bout is more than just a physical fight—it represents the clash of reputations. Armstrong has faced allegations of promoting questionable projects in the past, and his showdown with Ansem is seen as a chance for him to address his critics in a very public way.
