US President Donald Trump has announced plans to establish a US strategic Bitcoin reserve, aiming to strengthen the country’s position in the global digital asset landscape.
This initiative includes the creation of a national BTC reserve and the establishment of a crypto advisory council to guide government policy.
Additionally, Trump plans to issue executive orders to reduce regulatory burdens on crypto companies and encourage the adoption of digital assets.
The Cryptocurrency Working Group announced by Trump will be tasked with developing a Federal regulatory framework governing digital assets, including stablecoins, and evaluating the creation of a strategic national digital asset reserve.
The Executive Order prohibits institutions from taking any action to establish, issue, or promote central bank digital currencies (CBDCs).
