There was some notable on-chain activity in the Ethereum community today. According to data shared by on-chain analytics platform Arkham Intelligence, a large amount of Ethereum was transferred from the wallet address belonging to Vitalik Buterin, known as vitalik.eth.
A Notable Transfer of Over 1,000 ETH from Ethereum Founder Vitalik Buterin’s Wallet
According to the data, a total of 1,009 ETH was transferred from Buterin’s wallet. This amount reportedly has a market value of approximately $2.94 million.
In the transactions that took place, it was seen that 1009 ETH was first transferred from one address to another within Buterin’s main wallet, and then 1006 ETH was sent to an address starting with 0x3C77…
The new address in question is also likely owned by Vitalik Buterin. While investigations so far indicate that these transfers were not directed to any cryptocurrency exchange, market analysts suggest the transaction may have been an address update for personal fund management or security purposes.
Large transfers made by prominent figures in the Ethereum ecosystem are closely monitored by investors. Large amounts of funds transferred to exchanges can sometimes create selling pressure. However, due to the lack of an outflow to exchanges in this transfer, there has been no negative market sentiment for now.
