The Association of SMEs of the City of Torrevieja (Apymeco) is teaming up with Bitnovo Pay, a leading cryptocurrency payment solution to boost the development of the crypto industry in the province of Alicante, Spain.
The organizations will work together to introduce a digital transformation project based on the use of cryptocurrencies as a means of payment in the city. The main goal of this initiative will be to provide the residents and guests of Torrevieja a unique experience with the creation of the first-of-kind crypto ecosystem with implementation of modern technologies. Emphasis will be on expanding trade opportunities, promoting tourism, sustainability development, promoting employment, and attracting local and international investment.
The initiative primarily aims to stimulate the growth of trade and tourism in the city of Torrevieja, providing residents and businesses of the city with the opportunity to make payments using cryptocurrencies. In addition, the project also aims to create new jobs in the crypto ecosystem by attracting investment capital to new companies in the technology industry.
Implementation stages
The digital transformation initiative will be implemented in three phases.
The first phase will focus on implementing cryptocurrencies as a transaction medium. The solution will make it possible to pay with cryptocurrencies and other digital assets for goods and services, which will significantly develop the relationship between consumers and businesses.
The second phase will focus on creating a positive impact on the environment, with a focus on sustainable development (ESG) aimed at restoring natural resources.
The third phase will focus on expanding employment opportunities and promoting businesses in the city, stimulating job creation and funding for companies in the technology sector.
Apymeco, the Small and Medium Business Association of Torrevieja, is a non-profit organization whose goal is to improve and promote local commercial and professional activities, which includes the majority of businesses in Torrevieja.
Bitnovo Pay allows physical or online stores to accept cryptocurrencies as a payment method and receive euros directly into their bank account. The product allows customers to pay in a physical store using POS, integrate the platform into an online store, or use a mobile app to generate a QR code or send payment links via WhatsApp, email or social media. The solution provides an efficient payment process, allowing merchants to interact with millions of cryptocurrency users around the world.
