London, UK — BOB (Build on Bitcoin), the gateway to Bitcoin DeFi, has teamed up with Reown and WalletConnect to unlock native Bitcoin wallet support for more than 200 million users worldwide.

—

The collaboration adds Binance Web3 Wallet, Bitget Wallet, and Unisat Wallet directly into Reown’s open-source AppKit SDK—alongside the 500+ wallets already supported, such as Phantom, Ledger, Leather, and Xverse. The result: a smoother, more scalable user experience for developers and a massive expansion of Bitcoin DeFi’s reach.

A UX Upgrade for Bitcoin DeFi

Reown’s AppKit SDK already serves as a critical toolkit for Web3 builders, enabling apps to connect seamlessly to hundreds of wallets. With BOB’s contribution, Bitcoin wallets can now deliver:

Simplified onboarding with one-click wallet connections
Real-time analytics and payments
Improved UX tailored to Bitcoin-native DeFi apps

The integration is now live inside BOB’s own application, making the company’s 1-click Bitcoin DeFi suite instantly accessible to millions of wallet users.
“This collaboration is another example of how leading infrastructure providers are choosing BOB to execute their Bitcoin strategies. By enhancing access and UX, we’re making it easier than ever for anyone to participate in Bitcoin-native DeFi.”

Alexei Zamyatin, Co-Founder of BOB
Why WalletConnect Matters

For WalletConnect, the move reflects Bitcoin’s shift from passive store-of-value to active financial layer.
“Bitcoin is evolving into something much more. AppKit gives builders the tools they need and opens access to millions of users. This integration with BOB helps accelerate the next wave of Bitcoin-focused applications.”

Jess Houlgrave, CEO of WalletConnect
Bridging Bitcoin and Ethereum

The integration also aligns with BOB’s mission: to combine Bitcoin’s security and liquidity with Ethereum’s developer-rich ecosystem. Using hybrid zero-knowledge proofs, BitVM-powered execution, and Bitcoin-secured bridges, BOB enables:

Native BTC access without wrapped tokens or custodians
Multi-chain Bitcoin yield opportunities
One-click swaps across chains

This infrastructure gives wallets, apps, and institutions the ability to integrate Bitcoin DeFi at scale—secured by billions in staked Bitcoin.

The Bigger Picture

For developers, the partnership removes friction. For users, it opens access to seamless, Bitcoin-native DeFi across hundreds of apps. And for the ecosystem, it’s a signal that Bitcoin’s future is moving beyond holding BTC into an era of programmable, yield-generating financial utility.

With over 200 million users gaining native access, BOB, Reown, and WalletConnect are building the foundations for Bitcoin DeFi’s next wave of adoption.
